Republican State House Candidate Vennia Francois Passes $100k in fundraising
Republican Vennia Francois, who filed for State House 44 (current proposed HD 45) four months ago, has raised $110,00 between her campaign and political committee. Her December event brought in $30,000, exceeding fundraising expectations due to the holidays.
“I could not be more grateful or proud of our success in such a short period of time,” stated Francois. “My supporters, volunteers and my campaign team are the best.”
Vennia is a first-generation American, who was born and raised in Central Florida. After graduating from Florida A&M School of Law, Vennia worked for U.S. Senator Mel Martinez as a policy advisor then later at the U.S. SEC in consumer protection against fraudulent and deceptive financial practices. Vennia now works at a large Orlando law firm in commercial transactions and serves on multiple non-profit boards, including Matthew’s Hope, Downtown Arts District, Orlando World Live, and the Civil Rights Studies Alliance. In 2020, Vennia was the Republican nominee for Congressional District 10.
“My motivation for running is the same reason I have supported and served on the many non-profits through the years – to improve the lives of people and to strengthen community,” stated Francois. “I also want to add my support to Governor DeSantis’ fight of protecting our citizens from the overreach of Washington, DC.”
District 44 is an open seat in West Orange County and includes parts of Ocoee, Winter Garden, Oakland, Windermere, and Orlando.
